ABOUT RECRUITMENT

This spring, we’re excited to take off into recruitment with our Fly AKPsi–themed events, and we invite UGA students of all majors to join us for the journey! Throughout the week, you’ll have the opportunity to explore how we bring together philanthropy, professionalism, and strong social bonds that make our fraternity a true brotherhood. Events like speed networking, passion pitches, and our house tour are designed to give you an inside look at how our organization operates, both on the ground and at cruising altitude.

Recruitment is your chance to learn more about who we are, what fuels our passion, and how you can become part of a lifelong community committed to growth, service, and connection. If you’re interested in joining our flight, be sure to attend at least two recruitment events (not including the info sessions). We can’t wait to welcome you aboard and share more about AKPsi!

FAQ

  • Who is eligible to join AKPsi?

    • Membership is open to students of ALL majors that have more than 2 semesters of undergraduate coursework left (seniors are not eligible).​

  • How many recruitment events do I need to attend to be eligible for a bid?

    • Students must attend 2 official recruitment events (speed networking, house tour, or passion pitch). Info sessions and the bonfire are not required, but they are highly encouraged.​

​

  • How should I prepare for recruitment events?

    • Make sure to check our schedule and Instagram for the time, date, and location of the event.  Note that some events have a dress code. Be yourself, and come with an open mind!​

  • In case I don't get a bid this semester, can I try again?

    • Absolutely! Several of our brothers joined our fraternity after more than one round of recruitment.​

​

  • Can I join AKPsi if I am already a member of another Greek organization?

    • Yes. Many of our current brothers are both members of AKPsi and another social Greek chapter.​

​

  • Do I become a brother once I receive a bid?

    • Not yet - receiving a bid is an invitation to start the pledgeship process. You'll learn, bond, and grow within a few weeks before being initiated as an official member.​
